It was a big honor to come back and call for this Club. There is alot of History with the  Thunderbirds and myself. Way back in my eariler years I use to call and teach for this Club.  I moved away from the area. Then years later I moved closer to their area.

The dance was like a homecoming. So many ole' faces and there were some new ones, many new ones. Also there were a couple of couples that I had taught over 25 years ago. To see them still dancing and still having as much fun brought such a good feeling. They danced and danced some more. Many of the dancers were happy that I was back in the area.

The decorations were great. The theme was Hickory Dickory Dockery. They had a grandfathers clock with mice on it.

The dancing was good lots of engery and excitment. I was a treat to have Carrie Masters showed up and she did a tip with me. I think she is one of the greatest female Callers there is, maybe I am partical cause she is also my very bestest of friends. She is one of the callers that...

I have been calling & teaching for this Club for a few years, I am honored. We have made  so many good friends. They are not a big Club, but they have been around for over 35 years.

They are Fun & Friendly and they love to dance, and make new friends.

They Dance on the 2nd & 4th Fridays of every month. They do have Rounds which is Cued by Barb Haines.

If you are looking for a fun place to dance this is the place.

This was the first time I Called for this Club, and it was a blast, what fun. There was lots of good Dancing, and you could hear lots of laughs.

I was also asked to Cue the rounds, and there were several Rounds dancers which was great.

Ore Valley is not to far from Tucson, so we had a nice drive.

We met so many people and made many new friends.

What a good dance. As I said in the past,  it is a Honor to be asked to Call for this Club. They come in with Smiles on their faces and are wanting to Dance and have fun.

Even though many of the Snowbirds have left for Summer we had a good crowd.

Steve & Lori Harris Cued the Rounds. Steve kept the floor flowing and full with the rounds dancers. I look forward to working with them.

Checkmates is a very Friendly Club, if you are ever in this end of the Country and have a Saturday free go dance with them, you will make new friends, I know we have.
